They shunned tradition to marry on one of Britain’s highest peaks – Buachaille Etive Mor at Glencoe in the Highlands.
Dressed in waterproof gear, Jo, 36, vowed her love would be “forged in stone”, while train engineer Rob, 30, pledged to “never let go of the rope”.
Teacher Jo, from Southampton, said: “It was incredibly moving.” The couple were joined on the snowy two-hour ascent by best man Carl Iszatt and bridesmaid Emily Iszatt – both novice climbers.
The pair later changed into more formal gear, but kept their boots on for the honeymoon… a climbing holiday.
Tim Maguire, who conducted the humanist ceremony, said: “It was really quite special.”
