Mr Carroll is wearing six ID bracelets to allow him to visit his newborns and told The Birmingham News he was ‘on top of the world’. ‘Everything this morning was perfect,’ he added.
‘Heather and Mitchell Carroll were committed to this journey, their family and community were supportive, and God was faithful,’ Dr Bill McKenzie said in a hospital statement.

‘I am so proud of this mother’s toughness and appreciative for the excellent preparation and care she received at Brookwood Medical Center.’
The Carroll household more than doubled in size with the successful births of the six babies on Saturday morning between 8:05am and 8:08am, as the couple now have nine children.
Hospital staff were so prepared for the birth that they had performed six formal run-throughs and each baby had its own care team for the delivery, reported The Birmingham News.

They all came out crying and breathing by themselves, although they did required help in the delivery room and are on ventilators at the moment, a hospital neonatologist said.
‘This is a historical day for Brookwood Medical Center,’ a spokesman said. ‘Our Labour and Delivery and neonatal intensive care unit teams are seasoned providers of high risk pregnancy and neonatal care.
‘While multiple births are a common occurrence in our facility, this delivery required a high level of preparation and orchestration. We were well prepared - and I couldn’t be more proud of our team.’
Mrs Carroll is the second woman in the U.S. to give birth to sextuplets this month, after Stacey Carey gave birth to six children in Abington, Pennsylvania, around two weeks ago.
